The National Portrait Gallery has just announced that it will now provide free image downloads for Academic and Non-Commercial use. Over 53,000 low resolution images will be available to non-commercial users and over 87,000 high resolution images will be free of charge for academic use.
These images can be accessed through the gallery’s website. Some copyright restrictions still remain on certain images – further information can also be found on the site.
