The National Gallery has announced that it has made the catalogue for its archive collections available online. The archive contains records of the gallery’s activities from its inception in 1824 to the present day and holds a combination of public records and private papers. The records also document the history of pictures in the Gallery’s collection, as well as the history and development of the Gallery as an institution. From the archive you can access annual reports, minutes from Board of Trustees meetings, exhibition records, press cuttings and  publicity material amongst other things.

For access to the archive and for further information visit http://www.nationalgallery.org.uk/archive/search.
