New Journal Acquisitions

The following journals are recent additions to the library and can be found along the back wall in Library One.

Mousse is a bi-monthly magazine, written in English and Italian and features articles about contemporary culture, the visual arts, curatorship and international arts criticism. Some of the highlights of the current issue include an article about the films of Béla Tarr, a conversation between artists Thomas Bayrle and Oliver Laric and an interview with experimental filmmaker Luther Price.

InformForm: Information Design in theory, an informed practice. (First holding #1 2012)


A new annual publication from MWMCreative, a London based design and research studio. InformForm is concerned with Information Design and features examples of work from students at UK universities including the University of the Creative Arts and the University of Portsmouth. The first issue also includes an overview of information graphics, including circular graphs, sector charts, projections and maps.

Varoom! (First holding Issue 20 Winter 2012)


Varoom! is a illustration journal published four times a year, which features interviews with contemporary illustrators as well as critical articles debating  aspects of contemporary illustration. The current issue features articles about the ‘crit’ process where students learn to reflect on their work, the culture of Polish illustration, and a biographical piece about the Irish illustrator Grace Plunkett.
