New from the Tate is a series of short films designed as introductions to key areas of art history and delivered by a number of celebrity art fans. One film will be released each month and there will be a total of eight.
First up was Frank Skinner talking about performance art and then this month we have Sally Phillips taking us through shopping for art from patronage to international art fairs. Amongst the celebrities still to come are Peter Capaldi and Alan Cummings. Further topics will include the history of the nude, surrealism and pop art.
Make a point to check in each month as these films take a witty and entertaining approach to a range of topics. The final topic will be left to the public to vote online for what they would like covered so another reason to get involved!
