The Europeana fashion project provides material about the history of European fashion, including more than 700.000 fashion-related digital objects, ranging from historical dresses to accessories, photographs, posters, drawings, sketches, videos, and fashion catalogues. It is an ongoing project which will end in February 2015. Users can search the archive by date, designer, item or keyword and a specialised thesaurus is also currently being prepared.

The site includes a blog and a Tumblr as well as the opportunity to follow the project via Facebook and Twitter. There is also news of a conference to be held in London in 2014. It is well worth a look and promises to provide a rich source of images and historical research into the history of fashion.

Further information can be found on the dedicated Website.
