World Book Day 2016 at WSA

To celebrate World Book Day 2016, Fine Arts and the Library collaborated to bring an afternoon of book and art fun to the WSA Café.

Catherine Polley took a selection of thirty books from the Artists’ Book Collection bought from students over the last twenty years.

There were stationed areas for joining in with the Watercolour Club of Great Britain, having a go at some mono-printing, collage and letterpress with students and staff or indulging in the delights of the yummy cake sale, contributing to the 2016 Degree Show fundraising.

Fine Art had built a long bridge showcasing books made by students, which ran across 4 tables!

The Library’s display of student artists books  was popular throughout and it was so nice to see people enjoying leafing through them in this open and accessible way, using white gloves of course!
