Winchester Fashion Week & WSA

Everyman, Winchester
Winchester Fashion Week has arrived once again to bring the city alive with pop up shops, workshops, boutique evenings, catwalks and even a luxury cinema screening of The Devil Wears Prada…complete with complimentary Kir Royale!
WFW16 runs from 25th April – 30th April and is a celebration of Winchester’s fashion culture and industry, from supporting the High Street retailers to local and independent artists and designers.

Fab upcycling inspiration!
WSA students are involved every year with their talents and creations. This year’s focus is on re-styling charity shop garments in to stylish and innovative bargains. I absolutely love the upcycling culture and am regularly on my sewing machine, turning my latest charity shop find in to my newest and favourite wardrobe item! Check out Junky Styling by Annika Sanders, which can be found at 391.0286 SAN in Library 1.
The BA Fashion Media & Marketing students have collaborated with Oxfam Winchester to deliver some of their stylish work to a pop-up shop. You can find them in The Brooks shopping centre from Wednesday – Friday this week. In addition, on Friday between 11am – 2pm, there will be a catwalk show of some of their work.
On Saturday, WSA and PDSA will be holding a pop-up shop selling exclusive garments for bargain style! On display in the shop will be some of the upcycled creations from the MA Fashion students.
Winchester Fashion Week ends on Saturday 30th April, culminating in a Grand Finale Catwalk Show at Winchester Guildhall, showcasing retailers and WSA students’ collections.
