There are some new and exciting changes to one of our key resources, the  Berg Fashion Library which is now part of the Bloomsbury Fashion Central platform.

Integrating with Bloomsbury Fashion Central has brought together a cross searchable online resource for students, researchers and educators alike, which will now give access to the Fashion Photography Archive and Fairchilds Book Library, alongside the Berg Fashion Library.

Berg Fashion Library holds The  Encyclopedia of World Dress and Fashion, eBooks, reference works, images, and much more.

Some of the new content will include an exhibition archive, which will feature iconic international dress and fashion exhibitions with new ones being added on a regular basis. In addition new ebooks will be added, including a commitment to sixteen over the coming year.

There is also improved technical functionality including better zoom and search functions, faster speeds and it will be fully mobile responsive.

You can access the Berg Fashion Library via our LibGuides resources page on SUSSED. If you are accessing resources from off-campus, you will need to do so via the Universities SVE (Southampton Virtual Environment).

Some related areas in the Library with useful resources can be found at:

Fashion and Dress History – 391

Fashion Management and Marketing – 658

And don’t forget our journals collection in Library 1, a list of which you can download from our LibGuides page.
